According to the above news, In the state of Punjab 40.68lakh of Ration card holders are existed, out of it 3.36lakh ration cards are cancelled and also removed 13 lakh ineligible beneficiaries under the National food Security scheme. Apart from it, 1.57 Cr beneficiaries who is getting food grain i.e only wheat under this scheme. As per norms set up by the Centre, the beneficiaries number should not be more than 1.41, which meamnt there were 16 lakh additional beneficiaries who benefited under the NFSA. A report released by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy regarding the unemployment status in India and which shows that 7.8% of the employment has been increased in the month of March 2023.
