RTF News Update 26th & 27th April 2023

 

Under MGNREGA the most prolific provision was to no use of the machine at worksite. However nowadays  machines are used in titlagarh of Balangir district.

The Manhar tribal community in the Sukinda area of the Jajpur district is in need of basic necessities. The so-called gold sector of Jajupur district is inaccessible to tribal people in terms of food, drinking water, and housing. Due to the absence of Adhaar cards, the majority of indigenous people are not eligible for employment under MGNREGA.

Digitalization process and sharp budget cut under MGNREGS lead to lack of employment opportunity to the needy people at the rural area. People with lack of knowledge regarding technology making the condition more worst.

Tamilnadu Government proposed a plane for the introduction of breakfast in primary school and planning to invest 500 crore in initial stage.

RTF News Update 24th & 25th April 2023

 

In Dunguripali Village of Balangir District a old man died out of starvation, and his family is at Hyderabad doing labour work in a brick bhatti where the owner is not agreeing to leave the family after listening the incident.

In Kajidihi upper primary school more than 120 students are getting education in 2 class room where students are suffering a lot and have to sit in the barenda.

Under MGNREGA , farm pond and ring wells dug in Sundargarh district  in the time period of 2022-2023  which playing vital role in farming sector this not only helping farmers in cultivation but also generating employment opportunity in the rural area .

RTF News Update 20th & 21st April 2023

Subhalaxmi Tiria, daughter of Babuli Tiria died in Malnutrition in Jajpur District. She was suffered from malnutrition in 2 years ago, her mother died in last 6 months, there was no one to take care of her. Family get only 10 kg ration, but there are total 4 members in their family.

In 2023-24 the demand for MGNREGA work is estimated to decrease by about 25%. After the using of online attendance at work site, the number of seeking workers are decreasing. 

The news has come from Bardajodi village in Nabarangpur district. The ambulance could not reach the village due to lack of a paved road, so people carry the pregnant women for 4 km to reach the ambulance. 

Puyu Kardaka 28-year-old disabled person who lives with his wife and two children. He did not get pension even after having a disability certificate.

Deadline for Adhaar based payment system under MGNREGS extended till June 30, however for each day's paper work workers end up losing the day's wage.

There are 240 Anganwadi centers in Mohana block & 94 in Nuagada block have no own house. Somewhere it is running under the trees, barandah of people's house or in a half-timbered building in dangerous condition. 


Kidney diseases are spreading in the saragadia village of Nuapada district. People are not getting the cause behind this disease. However experts are claiming it may be due to unsafe drinking water. More than 20 people have already lost their life where over 50 are still suffering by the disease.

Kamalanagar village of Dhenkanal district is facing acute safe drinking water scarcity, left with no option women of the village have to walk mile to fetch water for domestic use and drinking.

Internal migration in the country  is growing day by day which shows scanty job availability  in rural areas.

RTF News Update 18th April 2023

The news came from tadikhola village of Dhamunipanga panchayat in Rayagada district that, Puyu Kardaka is a 28-year-old disabled person who lives with his wife and two children.
With the help of some people of the village, he got the Disability certificate after repeatedly going to the block and panchayat office. Still did not get pension or any other government facility yet, after complaints many times in their block.

People do not receive benefits under BSKYE; they must pay their own money for treatment; poor and needy people cannot use the card in an emergency since private hospitals are hesitant to provide treatment under the card. This is the statement of Subhasis' family members from the Nimapada region, who got hurt in an accident and seek treatment at a private hospital using this card

Due to the increment of Gas price, the number of beneficiaries of gas booking under Ujjwala Yojana is decreasing day by day. Gas price in Bhubaneswar in 2014 was Rs.425/-, now the rate of gas has increased to Rs.1129/-.

In the Ghatisahi area of the Dangabadi block of the Jajpur district, a malnutrition death occurred once more. Even after implementing several programmes, the government of Odisha was unable to provide its citizens' basic need for food.

There is a persistent issue with the availability of potable drinking water in the Brahmanisahi neighbourhood of the Belagada block of the Khurdha district. Although the government is spending a considerable sum on the MEGA water projects, the people are still suffering severely.

Odisha is lagging behind in many Govt sponsored Schemes, like construction Gov t medical colleges, Ayusman yojana and many more.

Anganwadi centers and schools are opening from today. Anganwadi centers will remain open from 7 am to 10 am and schools (classes 1 to 12) will remain open from 6 am to 11 am. There should be drinking water and other required facilities for the children at every Anganwadi centre.

RTF News Update 7th April 2023


The state government of Odisha has increased the wages of the workers by Rs. 12/-. The wages of unskilled labourer have been increased from Rs- 333/- to Rs-345/-, while semi-skilled labor wages from Rs-373/- to Rs-385/-. Similarly, skilled labourer wages have been increased from Rs- 423/- to Rs- 435/- ,and high-skilled labourer wages from Rs- 483/- to Rs-495/-. It will be effective from 1st of April.

The all India Agricultural workers union has decided to hold nationwide protest at 10thousend centers demanding proper implementation of MGNREGA and the National Food Security Act.

According to the above news, In the state of Punjab 40.68lakh of Ration card holders are existed, out of it 3.36lakh ration cards are cancelled and also removed 13 lakh ineligible beneficiaries under the National food Security scheme. Apart from it, 1.57 Cr beneficiaries who is getting food grain i.e only wheat under this scheme. A report released by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy regarding the unemployment status in India and which shows that 7.8% of the employment has been increased in the month of March 2023. As per the information, in 2022, the unemployement ratio was increased up to 8.7% in the month of December whereas it was reduced to 7.14% and 7.45% in January and February respectively.
